Today in maths we had great fun measuring. We estimated and then measured our armspan. Next, we used decimetre strips to measure objects around the classroom concentrating on measuring accurately.
We have been learning about the lifecycle of a ladybird. There are four stages eggs, larva, pupa and then they become an adult ladybird. Year 2 bought some eggs and over the last few weeks we have watched the lifecylce happen before our eyes! We checked today and we found some adult ladybirds.
Look at all the food our class donated for the Padley Centre. Thank you to parents and carers for being so generous.
Today we tested how far germs spread by rubbing glitter on our hands. We spread glitter all around the school ! We now know why it’s so important to wash our hands.
In Year 2 we have been investigating whether insects have a favourite colour. We enjoyed collecting insects and having snail races !
Year 2 had a great time celebrating Roald Dahl Day. The children all dressed up as their favourite Roald Dahl character and we spent the day exploring George’s Marvellous medicine. We created our very own bottle of class marvellous medicine, we wrote recipes and used them to create pieces of art.
